Here's another "Chez Christiane" Recipe. My wife Chris says this Hockey Player's Red Hot Chili is at the "suicidal" rating. If this is too spicy for you, bring the amount of spicy ingredients down accordingly. Try it out and tell us what you think!

Ingredients:

Spray                   Cooking Spray Oil or Olive Oil

2 Lbs.                   Lean Ground Beef

1 Cup                   Spanish Onion, chopped

4 Cloves               Garlic, minced

19 Oz.                   Diced Tomatoes

5 Oz.                    Tomato Paste

2 Tbs.                   White Vinegar

1 Tsp.                   Tabasco Sauce

10 Oz.                   Beef Broth

4 Tbs.                   Chili Powder

½ Tsp.                  Ground Cinnamon

1 Tsp.                   Ground Cumin

1 Tbs.                   Oregano Leaves, crushed

½ Tsp.                  Cayenne

¼ Tsp.                  Ground Allspice

Pinch                   Thyme

¼ Tsp.                  Salt

½ Tsp.                  Ground Black Pepper

Pinch                   Ground Clove

½ Bottle               Dried Red Chili Flakes

6 Oz.                    Jalapeno Peppers, Drained and Chopped

19 Oz.                   Red Kidney Beans, Drained and Washed

2                           Hot Dog Weiners, cut into thin slices

Method:

1. In a large pot, spray bottom generously.

2. Brown onions lightly without burning.

3. Add garlic and do not burn.

4. Add ground beef and cook until brown.

5. Add the rest of the ingredients except the wieners.

6. Simmer slowly 3 - 5 hours. Stir regularly so that bottom does not burn.

7. Remove fat as it builds up on top.

8. Add wieners with about 1 hour before serving.

Serve on a bed of rice with fresh bread on the side. Enjoy with your favourite beverage, like a cold beer or a nice bottle of red wine. Hope you like it!!!
